Biometrics methods
Veridium includes biometry authentication as a core feature, present in Veridium Manager / Orchestrator / Methods / Biometrics methods section.
Supported biometric authentication methods are:
TouchID - comes preconfigured by default and refers to mobile biometry scenarios (fingerprint sensor, FaceID in case of latest iPhones). Administrator can configure a different retry value for failed biometric authentications. It is recommended to leave the rest of the default values untouched, unless instructed otherwise by Veridium.
VFACE - proprietary Veridium solution that allows face biometrics enrollment and authentication. The behavior is similar to Apple’s FaceID, but it is available on any device with a camera (mobile device or computer).
FFID - Four-Fingers ID - proprietary Veridium solution that allows finger biometry enrollment and authentication using any mobile phone camera together with VeridiumID mobile application. All it takes is pointing the camera at the 4 fingers (excluding the thumb).
GBFRSW - method that offers support for Thales DactyID20 (formerly GreenBit) desktop fingerprint sensor. This allows enrolment and authentication using the standalone sensor and it’s associated software in both Windows and Web scenarios. The biometric template can be set between GreenBit (proprietary) and Bitmap in Veridium Manager / Orchestrator / Methods / Non-Biometrics Methods / DESKTOP_FINGERPRINT.
Note: biometric methods availability may be subject to separate licensing.
